With any Maritime training, the necessity for the smooth running of the vessel is paramount and therefore training is designed to be as unobtrusive and adaptable to any ship's routine without sacrificing safety.
Our maritime security course starts with sea survival understanding how to use the life raft, its equipment lifejacket and how to administer self help. This gives the essential practical skills and theoretical knowledge of how to react effectively to an emergency abandonment with or without a life raft.
Phase two of the course covers maritime compliance ensuring that the basics of liquefied gas and oil carriage including the different practices in the LNG and LPG sectors are understood. This provides safety information in the important areas of the ships safety and operational procedure.
Phase three covers Seamanship and Small boat handling used for escort protection and transitional escort drills. This is used in estuary or delta situation where heavy vegetation along the banks of inland waterways offers excellent concealment and enhances the effectiveness of ambushes against volatile shipping cargos. Security measures during the movement phase along an inland waterway include proper watercraft formations, constant water patrolling, and air observation.
Phase four covers onboard operations at sea this includes tactical and strategic appraisals, containment and defence strategy in relation to the vessel and cargo.
In a surprise attack by pirates the plan ensures control of the vessel and security of the crew and passengers is maintained with minimum persons in high risk areas on the vessel.
