This course provides corporate employees with the necessary skills and competence to investigate criminal incidents or non compliance to corporate policy. It is a 5 week course which is customised for organisations with 8 or more course participants. The course is delivered by SAT-Team instructors with formal qualifications in investigative management, practice, and extensive investigative experience within both law enforcement and the corporate sector. The following areas form the major components of the Investigation program:-
Authorities, powers and responsibilities;
Burden of proof and Standards of proof;
Fundamental offences;
Planning an investigation
Collating & managing evidence
The role of witnesses and suspects-respondents
The course teaches how to identify the facts of a complaint, incident or event from voluminous data and information and determining, through a pre-assessment, whether an investigation is required. The student will be able to distinguishing the difference between civil and criminal investigations and how to investigate an allegation of wrong doing. He will be fully compliant with the evidence collection processes and their application to an investigation; and the roles of witnesses and suspects- respondents.
